According to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Information Centre, Dr Ali Akbar Jangjou, Deputy Head of the Hajj Medical Centre, announced that the selection process for the medical team serving the 2027 Hajj season has started earlier than in previous years.

He said that the evaluation of doctors and nurses has begun across eight regions of Iran following the completion of the recruitment campaign. Around 1,000 doctors and nurses have entered the assessment process to serve pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season. The official stated that the final composition of the medical team is expected to be confirmed by the end of the Iranian month of Tir. No further details were released regarding the final number of selected personnel or the training schedule.
