According to a statement published on the official Bale channel of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, officials from the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s office in Iraq met with a caravan of Sunni pilgrims from Golestan Province who are visiting the holy shrines in Iraq.
The official report states that the caravan includes pilgrims from Gorgan, Gonbad-e Kavus and other areas of Golestan Province. During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of visiting the holy shrines of Ahl al-Bayt, strengthening Islamic unity and serving pilgrims. The official source did not publish the names of the participating officials, the exact date of the meeting or details about the next stages of the pilgrimage programme.
