Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation preliminary notice regarding 2015 Hajj eligibility

Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation preliminary notice regarding 2015 Hajj eligibility

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation has announced that individuals who made Hajj deposits on or before 5 March 2006 are eligible to register for the 2015 Hajj pilgrimage.

According to the public relations department of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation, all individuals holding Hajj deposit receipts dated up to 5 March 2006 (15/12/1384) may begin registering for Hajj caravans from 24 January 2015. The names of 2015 Hajj caravan managers, along with relevant addresses and costs in each province, will be published in local newspapers on 20 and 21 January.

Eligible individuals may select their preferred caravan and complete the registration process either in person by visiting caravan managers or online via the website www.haj94.haj.ir.

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation has stated that international passports must be valid until at least the end of 2015. Those who do not possess a passport, or whose passport validity expires before this date, are advised to obtain or renew their documents individually in good time.

Furthermore, anyone intending to transfer their Hajj deposit receipt to a first-degree relative (father, mother, spouse, brother, sister, or child), or those who have already done so but have not yet registered the transfer in the comprehensive transfer system, must ensure the transfer is recorded and processed at an authorised pilgrimage service office in their province or district before the registration date. This applies regardless of whether a formal notarised deed of settlement has been prepared.

A supplementary notice from the organisation regarding Hajj eligibility and caravan registration will be published in the Nasim-e Gilan newspaper on Saturday, 17 January.
