During a Hajj coordination meeting in Qom, speakers detailed the scholarly standing, deep humility, tireless work ethic and steadfast devotion to punctual prayer of the late Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani.

Speaking at the opening of a Hajj synergy meeting held today, Thursday, in the holy city of Qom—attended by Hojatoleslam val-Moslemin Seyed Abdolfattah Navab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Iranian pilgrims, and representatives from the offices of Grand Ayatollahs—Hojatoleslam val-Moslemin Mokhtari, a disciple of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, highlighted the scholarly and ethical attributes of the late marja, identifying intellectual and practical humility as one of his most prominent traits. He stated that alongside his lofty scholarly status, Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani possessed a humble spirit which was clearly manifested in his behaviour and his academic and practical conduct.

Referring to the late cleric's scholarly disposition and generosity in imparting knowledge, he added that Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani readily made his research and scholarly achievements available to others and never withheld his scientific findings. This approach demonstrated his humility, his perspective on knowledge, the importance he attached to the dissemination of learning, and his efforts to enable others to benefit from academic achievements.

Furthermore, Hojatoleslam val-Moslemin Seyed Mohammad Shobeiri Zanjani, the son of Grand Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani, addressed the gathering to discuss his father's personal and devotional conduct, stating that he was exceptionally industrious and constantly engaged in study, scholarly debates and worship. A profound fondness for reading and contemplation was among his defining characteristics, with a significant portion of his life dedicated to intellectual and spiritual pursuits.

Emphasising the significance of offering prayers at the earliest opportunity in his daily life, the late marja's son noted that Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani's dedication to praying at the very first time (awal al-waqt) continued until the final moments of his blessed life, holding a special place in his daily schedule.
