The role of cultural guides in the accurate and effective transmission of Hajj teachings and the history of holy sites to pilgrims

A scientific Hajj workshop for Sunni cultural guides from the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah was held from Saturday, 3 October to Monday, 5 October, at the Kurdistan Hajj School, focusing on 'Hajj rituals' and 'the historical sites of Mecca and Medina'. During this training workshop, Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Mohammad Hossein Askari Alavieh, head of the representative office of the Supreme Leader's Hajj mission in the Qom region, explained the methods for introducing historical and pilgrimage sites in Mecca and Medina to pilgrims. He emphasised the necessity of presenting information in a purposeful, documented manner, accompanied by educational and moral messages. By posing the question, 'How should a cleric introduce a site?', he presented a five-stage model for introducing historical locations to pilgrims.
