Hajj and Umrah foreign currency provision: Central Bank solution awaited

During a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Hajj Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation, the Deputy for Development and Resource Management at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation highlighted ongoing communication with Central Bank officials regarding the procurement of foreign currency for Hajj and Umrah operations, stressing that the organisation is awaiting a formal solution from the bank.

Mr Hamid Reza Mohammadi noted the frequent enquiries from pilgrims, particularly those who missed previous Hajj seasons, and added that given the scheduling constraints imposed by the host country, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation requires urgent clarity on the matter to effectively address the needs of the pilgrims.
