Hajj and Umrah foreign exchange provision awaits Central Bank solution

The Deputy for Development and Resource Management at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has stated that the organisation is awaiting a solution from the Central Bank regarding the provision of foreign currency for Hajj and Umrah operations.

During a meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Hajj Mission and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, the Deputy for Development and Resource Management highlighted repeated contacts with Central Bank officials regarding the provision of foreign currency for Hajj and Umrah operations, stressing that the organisation is awaiting a solution from the Central Bank.

Mr Hamid Reza Mohammadi noted the frequent enquiries from pilgrims, particularly those who missed previous Hajj pilgrimages, and added that given the schedule announced by the host country, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization must receive clarity as soon as possible in order to provide answers to the pilgrims.
