Kashan Hajj and Pilgrimage Department announces start of Umrah registration

Hamidreza Behrouzi-far, head of the Kashan Hajj and Pilgrimage Department, has announced that registration for eligible Umrah pilgrims in the Kashan region will commence on Sunday, 8 September.
Hamidreza Behrouzi-far, head of the Kashan Hajj and Pilgrimage Department, while marking the start of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal, announced that, following established planning, registration for eligible Umrah applicants has been organised into four stages, beginning on Saturday, 7 September. Behrouzi-far stated that registration for the Kashan region will commence concurrently with 13 other provinces on Sunday, 8 September.
He noted that the deployment of caravans will take place in two phases, adding that the first phase of pilgrim departures will run from 18 September 2024 to 20 December 2024, while the second phase will run from 21 December 2024 until the end of the Umrah season, with details regarding the registration process for this second phase to be announced at a later date.
Explaining the eligibility criteria, the head of the Kashan Hajj and Pilgrimage Department stated that those eligible to register include applicants from last year who had registered and paid their fees but were unable to travel due to capacity constraints—resulting in their funds being automatically refunded and their priority status preserved—as well as holders of Umrah deposit cards with priority numbers between 1 and 180.
Regarding the registration process and required documentation, Behrouzi-far advised that applicants may register by visiting the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation’s unified portal at MY.HAJ.IR or by visiting authorised pilgrimage service offices. He added that applicants have a 48-hour window to select a caravan, make payment, and submit documents to their chosen office; failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the automatic cancellation of their registration.
Addressing the costs associated with the Umrah pilgrimage, Hamidreza Behrouzi-far stated that these cover airfare, hotel accommodation, catering and logistics, transport, visa issuance, insurance, pilgrimage office fees, training sessions, and other operational expenses. In accordance with established arrangements, all pilgrimage offices and agents across the country are prepared to assist eligible applicants with data entry, group formation, and initial booking upon payment of the prescribed service fee.
Regarding individuals who have forgotten their deposit card priority, the head of the Kashan Hajj and Pilgrimage Department explained that all Umrah deposit card holders can check their priority status (among the 600 available) by visiting the Hajj and Pilgrimage unified portal or by dialling the USSD code *4*64511# on their mobile phones.
Concluding his remarks, Behrouzi-far stated that visa issuance for registered individuals is conditional upon holding a passport with at least seven months' validity from the date of the flight. He expressed hope that, with the grace of God, the deployment of Umrah pilgrims will be carried out effectively in accordance with the planned schedules.
