Over 2 million Arbaeen pilgrims registered on the Samah system

More than 2 million Iranian pilgrims have registered on the Samah system as of Sunday, 25 August, with the enrolment process ongoing.
As Arbaeen pilgrimage travel begins, more than 2 million Iranian pilgrims had registered on the Samah system by midday on Sunday, 25 August, and the registration process remains open. Pilgrims are advised not to leave their registration until the final days. Registering on the system, which is accessible at samah.haj.ir, provides access to insurance and Red Crescent relief services, and the receipt of Arbaeen currency is contingent upon possessing a Samah code. Furthermore, this registration assists service providers in planning their operations more effectively.
According to current statistics, 58 per cent of those registered are men and 42 per cent are women, with the Mehran, Shalamcheh, Khosravi, and Chazzabeh border crossings being the most popular choices among pilgrims. Pilgrims are advised to print their identification cards and barcodes after registration and attach them to their belongings.
At present, mawkibs and border services are operational, and pilgrim guidance units and missing persons services are providing assistance at the borders, in pilgrimage cities, and along the Tariq al-Hussein route.
