Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation announces pre-registration details for 2026 Hajj

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation has announced that pre-registration for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage will commence nationwide on 12 October 2025.

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation has released the full details regarding the initial phase of registration for the 2026 Hajj. According to the organisation, pre-registration for eligible Hajj deposit holders will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, 12 October 2025, and will continue until the capacity allocated to each province is reached.

The registration schedule is based on the date of the initial deposit: those with deposits made up to 22 September 2007 may register from 10:00 am on 12 October 2025; those with deposits up to 21 November 2007 may register from 10:00 am on 15 October 2025; and those with deposits up to 21 December 2007 may register from 10:00 am on 18 October 2025. Applicants are required to update their personal information on the 'My Hajj' portal (my.haj.ir) prior to registration. Should any priority group fail to register, the remaining capacity will be opened to subsequent priority groups.

To register, eligible individuals must update their personal and bank details on the 'My Hajj' portal, select the 'Hajj' section, and complete the pre-registration process after reviewing medical requirements and paying the designated deposit. The required initial payment is 2,000,000,000 Rials, which includes the original deposit and accrued interest. The remaining balance will be calculated and collected during the final registration phase based on current currency and service costs.

A specific provision is made for a small number of applicants from the 2020 Hajj season who paid their fees but were unable to travel and have not yet withdrawn their funds. These individuals are invited to perform the Hajj one last time; they do not need to pre-register and will be able to sign up directly for travel groups when final registration dates are announced.

Final registration for the 2026 Hajj will only be available to those who have completed this pre-registration process, with the exception of the 2020 applicants. Priority for selecting travel groups will be given to those who register within the first 10 days. Applicants intending to travel together, such as spouses or relatives, are advised to coordinate their registration and payments simultaneously. All payments must be made using a personal bank card matching the applicant's national ID number, and applicants must provide a valid, active IBAN (Sheba) number.

Travel group selection must align with the information updated on the 'My Hajj' portal, including the province and city of departure. Failure to select a group during the final registration phase will result in the applicant being considered as having withdrawn, and their deposit will be refunded. The 2026 Hajj operations are expected to take place between early May 2025 and late June 2025. All applicants must hold a passport valid until at least 21 November 2026.
