What Arbaeen pilgrims need to know: Samah registration is a prerequisite for 1405 Arbaeen currency

Pilgrims intending to receive Arbaeen currency for 1405 must register on the Samah system, as this is a mandatory requirement for accessing the service.
According to the executive guidelines for the provision and sale of 1405 Arbaeen pilgrimage currency, pilgrims who intend to receive this currency must first register on the Samah system, as access to this service is exclusively available to those registered on the platform. In accordance with the Central Bank's guidelines, the sale of Arbaeen currency will take place from 10 July to 2 August 1405, and each eligible pilgrim over the age of five may receive up to 200,000 Iraqi dinars.
Presenting valid identification documents and a passport or an Arbaeen transit document is mandatory to receive the currency. Registration on the Samah system provides pilgrims with insurance coverage and travel services, in addition to enabling access to the pilgrimage currency. Consequently, those planning to travel for Arbaeen must complete their registration on the system within the designated timeframe to ensure they can utilise the services provided for pilgrims.
Furthermore, heads of households may collect the pilgrimage currency on behalf of their dependants by presenting the necessary identification documents, meaning the physical presence of other family members at the point of sale is not required. It should be noted that applicants for the Arbaeen pilgrimage can begin their registration on the samah.haj.ir portal from 30 June.
