Registration for Arbaeen Pilgrims Begins on 30 June

Registration for Arbaeen Pilgrims Begins on 30 June

Pilgrims intending to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage can register themselves and their companions via the Samah portal starting from 9:00 am on Tuesday, 30 June.

Morteza Aghaei, head of the registration and dispatch committee for the National Arbaeen Headquarters, announced the start date for pilgrim registration. He urged those wishing to undertake this spiritual journey to visit the Samah portal at samah.haj.ir from 9:00 am on Tuesday, 30 June, to register themselves and their companions. By completing their identity details, pilgrims will be able to access insurance, medical services, and other facilities provided for the journey. The Samah portal has been designated by the National Arbaeen Headquarters as the sole official platform for Arbaeen pilgrim registration.

Devotees wishing to visit the shrine of Imam Hussein and participate in the Arbaeen congress can complete the registration process remotely. Within the system, pilgrims must enter their identity information and provide specific travel details, including their planned departure time, chosen border crossing, and return date, to ensure that service planning for pilgrims is facilitated more effectively. According to officials, individuals over the age of 18 can form groups within the Samah system, allowing them to register up to 40 people as part of their group. The Arbaeen Headquarters advises pilgrims to travel in groups whenever possible to simplify travel coordination.

During the registration process, pilgrims may select their exit point from the Mehran, Shalamcheh, Chazzabeh, Khosravi, Bashmaq, or Tamarchin border crossings, or opt for air travel. Registering details regarding the mode of transport is also a required step. Once the information is submitted and finalised, applicants must pay the insurance and Red Crescent relief service fee, which has been set at 200,000 tomans for this year's Arbaeen. Eligibility for insurance coverage and medical and relief services is contingent upon completing this registration stage.

At the end of the process, an Arbaeen identification card and a receipt containing a special QR code for the pilgrims' belongings will be issued. It is recommended that pilgrims print this code and attach it to their essential items and luggage, so that in the event of loss, identification and tracking can be carried out more easily.
