According to Hajjiran, Akbar Rezaei, Deputy for Hajj and Umrah at Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, announced that preliminary registration for Hajj 2027 is scheduled to begin in mid-to-late July 2026 after executive coordination with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is completed. Rezaei said the registration process had originally been planned for early July 2026 but was postponed because it coincided with Arbaeen-related programmes and ceremonies held for the war martyrs. He added that the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization will publish the eligibility criteria, registration procedures and implementation timetable through its official communication channels once the final arrangements are approved. Rezaei also confirmed that the organization is continuing to pursue requests from pilgrims who had registered for the 2026 Hajj but were unable to travel, including efforts to preserve the exchange rate applied to their previous payments. He further stated that preparations for the 2027 Hajj operation, including the recruitment of medical teams and other operational personnel, have already started to ensure the subsequent stages of health assessments and operational planning proceed on schedule.
