According to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Information Centre, Alireza Rashidian, Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, met with Farshid Farokhnezhad, Chief Executive Officer of Bank Mellat, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and launching new initiatives to improve services for Hajj and pilgrimage travellers.

The two sides reviewed the use of modern technologies and digital infrastructure to simplify banking services related to Hajj and pilgrimage, accelerate service delivery and enhance the overall pilgrim experience.

The official report states that joint working groups will be established between the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Bank Mellat to develop practical solutions, streamline procedures and make greater use of digital capabilities. Both parties also reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation aimed at improving service quality and increasing pilgrim satisfaction.
